Talking Mental Health with Dr. Uma Naidoo, Dr. Theresa Larson, and Gabriella Wright
Movement Rx’s founder, Dr. Theresa Larson and Retired Navy SEAL turned mindfulness coach, Jon Macaskill joined a team of remarkable individuals to discuss mental health. They talked with nutritional psychiatrist Dr. Uma Naidoo, author of This is Your Brain on Food, who helps people feel emotionally better through the use of healthy whole foods and nutrition and Gabriella Wright, who is the co-founder of the Never Alone Initiative. This is an organization dedicated to building mental health awareness, advancing research and government policy, and improving access to those needing support.
They discuss important resources for individuals, especially veterans, who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction or any other condition that may be affecting their mental health. Seeking help is still impeded by a certain stigma around mental health, and shame that comes with it. Overcoming this is the first step to living a life of emotional and physical freedom.
