Why the squat position when using the bathroom:
* most healthy position for the pelvis and hips
* best angle for the anorectal angle
* Best angle for the puborectalis to relax and let everything loose
* anorectal inhibitory reflex is most efficient

What is the best angle of the hip:
* anything below parallel
* the more hip flexion the better according to a 2010 study of the Influence of Body Position on Human Defecation (My tall ancestors should feel better about this).
