DPT, CSCS, SFMA
Dr. Theresa Larson (aka “Dr. T”) has become one of the healthcare and fitness world’s most sought after experts on movement health. Dr. Larson earned her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Saint Augustine in San Diego, CA. and founded Movement Rx with her husband in 2013 in order to break free from the limitations that traditional physical therapy puts on practitioners and patients. The result was a company where skilled practitioners can authentically treat patients with the time, care, and movement education they deserve.
Dr. Megan Suarez, DPT, CSCS, OCS
DPT, CSCS, OCS
Dr. Megan Suarez (formerly Graff) leads all things Adaptive at Movement Rx. She completed her doctorate in physical therapy at Texas Woman’s University in Houston. In addition to her DPT, Megan is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, USA Track & Field Level 1 Coach and is a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) for her advanced clinical knowledge, experience, and skills in working with patients with orthopedic conditions. Additionally, she completed her fellowship training (FAAOMPT) with the Institute for Athlete Regeneration in advanced sports & orthopedic manual therapy. Less than 1% of all physical therapists in the US have both the OCS and FAAOMPT designations – it’s quite a feat and speaks to Megan’s skill in manual physical therapy.
Dr. Marissa Rescott, DPT, Ph.D
DPT, Ph.D
Marissa serves as the Director of Education for Movement Rx. She is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy AND has her doctorate in Sleep Science. Native to Upstate New York State, she grew up in the great outdoor playground of the Finger Lakes and went on to complete her undergraduate degree at St. Lawrence University where she studied neuroscience and first developed an appreciation for how the body and mind respond to pain and other stressors.
As a former collegiate runner, CrossFit coach, and lifetime adventurer, Marissa is passionate about empowering every person she comes across to move freely and live fearlessly. She has experience treating both Olympic-level athletes and recreational weekend warriors, and she particularly loves solving long-term nagging pain problems.

Nikki Ledford
Nikki Ledford is a chef, nutrition consultant, and natural foods expert based in Southern California. She believes that physical health and natural movement can be best supported by a diet consisting of real, whole foods.
Nikki’s own nutrition journey was borne out of a lifelong struggle with allergies, intolerances, insecurities, and frustrations. When Nikki began to experiment with her diet — nutrition quality, food source, preparation method, etc. — she began to experience noticeable changes in her body.
Drawing on personal experience and a desire to help others with similar issues, she decided to pursue nutrition full time. In 2011, she graduated from Bauman College, a holistic nutrition and culinary arts academy, in Santa Cruz, California, moved to Southern California, and launched her own business.
In her career, Nikki has helped a wide range of people — from cancer patients to elite-level athletes — achieve health goals and improve overall performance through better nutrition. In addition to serving a number of private clients, Nikki teaches nutrition and cooking classes, maintains an L1 Crossfit coaching certification, and practices yoga regularly.

She has since become certified in the following: ASTYM (Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization), CKTP (Certified Kinesiotape Practitioner), CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach), FMS (Functional Movement Screen), SFMA (Selective Functional Movement Assessment).

She makes fitness fun and has a passion for helping people move, eat, and live better. When she is not at the gym, she enjoys snowboarding, hiking, and biking along the beach.
Ray Fernandez
For Ray, fitness programs and the gym are more than meets the eye. His own experience with fitness taught him commitment to himself and to his health, created new bonds of great friendships, and provided him opportunities that have been endless. In 2013 he opened his gym, CrossFit 1904, with the hopes of providing others the same opportunity and to spread the joy of fitness and health to everyone, including the adaptive community. Throughout these years he earned a number of certifications, including the CrossFit L1 & L2, CrossFit Mobility, and USA Weightlifting certs. He has been a Lululemon ambassador and worked with many non-profit organizations like Team RWB, which inspired him to work with more adaptive athletes.
Annie Wozniak
Annie Woz was born and raised in Upstate New York, in a small town called Corning. Fun fact about Corning: it is home to Corning INC. a Fortune 500 company that makes Gorilla Glass for iPhones!
Sports and fitness have been a part of Annie’s life for as long as she can remember. She started her fitness journey with dance, trying all different styles. Tap was her favorite style, so she began to help teach classes to younger dancers which catalyzed the development of her own skills. Annie used that mentality in all aspects of her life, realizing the best way to learn is by teaching others! Through high school she was a 3 sport athlete: competing in tennis, indoor and outdoor track. Her main events were hurdles and pentathlon (shot put, high jump, long jump, hurdles, and 800 meter). Annie also taught hurdles to teammates and younger athletes which helped develop her cues and coaching eye. During college she focused on scholastics at the University of Buffalo, where she just recently graduated with a B.S in Exercise Science.
Annie’s love for coaching began while working at a HIIT based gym, where she coached people of all ages ( 7-70+) and all fitness backgrounds. She learned very quickly coaches can create a memorable experience and was challenged to expand her technical knowledge and comfort zone by trying Crossfit. During this time Annie also developed and taught a group exercise curriculum to college students. Through all these experiences she’s learned the importance of hard work, dedication and consistency. Her goal as a coach is to create an environment that fosters community, hard work, improvements in self confidence, and most importantly, fun! Annie looks forward to continuing on this journey and becoming a part of yours.

After years of recovery with many physical therapy appointments and multiple prosthetics adjustments, Kionte has set out to prove that his injuries do not define him. He has summited 2 of the highest mountains in the world, competed to be the fastest amputee in 100m and 200m as a Paralympic hopeful, completed two marathons, and has done multiple spartan races. Kionte was born in Stockton, Ca, and now lives in San Diego, Ca. In his free time, Kionte enjoys spending time walking his dog at the beach, working out, and volunteering his time when possible. Kionte is currently completing college courses to obtain his bachelor’s in Kinesiology to become a physical therapist in the future.
Keith Concar
Keith Concar is a t-12 incomplete spinal cord injury paraplegic for over 14 years now. He was injured in July of 2006 while helping with the relief effort in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. Keith had always been a very active individual and athlete before the injury and nothing has changed since. He has been involved in almost any sport you can think of since his injury. Keith found the sport and community of Crossfit and has never looked back. With a few tweaks to the movements Crossfit already has in place for able bodies, he was able to truly better his physical and mental health. The knowledge of proper functional movement, coupled with nutrition, has allowed Keith to tackle some of life’s hardest obstacles head on. He looks forward to sharing this knowledge daily with both the disabled community and able bodies alike.
