Be Well to Lead Well Retreat

ASK US ABOUT A RETREAT FOR YOUR ORGANIZATION!!

Recharge the Well-Being Behaviors that Shape How You Live and Lead

Looking for a high-impact program for your leaders? Reach out and let's talk.

It's not just about your work. It's about your life.

Andy Ellwood, who sold the app Waze to Google, said, "Leaders often have to pick between 2 of the following: Family, Work and Health. Usually, family and work take precedence because they are front and center all the time."

The truth is that's a short-sighted decision.

Our health and well-being becomes front and center when we lose it.  When we lose that, we lose our work capacity AND our ability to be present with our family.

We lose well-being faster - and sooner - than we think.

If we don't actively maintain physical and emotional well-being, it won't be there when we need it most.

You are making a decision. Either you make time for your well-being NOW or you are making time for disease and dysfunction later

Dysfunction in your body.

Dysfunction in your feelings and responses.

Dysfunction in your professional performance.

Dysfunction in your relationships.

What the Be Well to Lead Well Retreat Is

The Retreat Setting

An Amazing Experience at an Amazing Location

We can find a location, or work with the location you have in mind.

What to Expect

Dr. T, Jon and Will will help you operationalize your well-being so you can be the best version of yourself for you, your family, your community and your teams.

You will uncover your blind spots

Symptoms are surface-level. In this retreat you will get to the root cause of your symptoms - whether it's burnout, back pain, negativity, anxiety, etc.

You will explore WHY your well-being matters.

We will examine the far-reaching impacts of today's well-being. Not only on the arc of your life, but also the contagion effect of your well-being on those around you.

You will develop your own well-being roadmap

Together we will assess your physical function, your emotional health and create a clear map of how to get where you need to go.

You will get the tools to help you navigate that roadmap

You will get and practice a set of activities that will become your go-to well-being tools.

You will get the accountability support required

Staying consistent is the hardest part. The key is to make the healthy decision the EASY decision - we will help you navigate that.

You will have fun.

When was the last time you laughed hysterically, freed of all burdens?

Over these four days, you will learn what you are capable of as we explore through our community experience various methods of self-awareness, physical recharge, and just plain-old fun.

By Sunday you’ll leave feeling renewed, invigorated, and equipped with new tools to tackle life’s challenges head-on!

What Happens After the Retreat?

After these incredibly insightful four days, we won’t leave you stranded with all this enthusiasm and new knowledge. To keep your mindful flow growing, included in this retreat is a Four-Week Post Retreat Integration Program (more info below). We will all meet virtually for the following four weeks and double-down on the tools you’ve learned and work to weave these practices and insights into your daily life.

Ready to give your team permission to shine?

All you need to do is sign up. We will take care of the rest.

Get the tools and support to lead yourself first.

Your health influences the health of those around you. ESPECIALLY as a leader. "Be the change you wish to see in the world."

Your results will inspire others

We all can lose sight of ourselves.

"I was getting a lot of feedback about me being negative or grumpy....I had a couple of situations when I just really lost my sh**."

Recognize the value of others' guidance.

"Well, the whole 'doing my own thing' was not working."

Get the transformation you deserve.

"My wife was sharing how amazing my transformation has been and how much of a difference she's noticed in me since the Retreat."

Improve your relationships.

Consider the relationships that are at the core of your success. Life partner. Business partner. Children. Parents.

Explore together

"We were able to explore what each of us found important together."

Find your breakthrough

"We were able to clear some fog for ourselves and then actually connect in a better way."

Harness the power of positively like-minded leaders

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. This is not a fast journey, but a long one. You want to travel with caring, experienced people.

Find the right tribe.

"I wanted the opportunity to meet like minded people.'

Be around people who make you better.

"I followed Jon, Will and Theresa and felt like I needed what they were talking about. I needed it both professionally and personally."

Still on the fence?

Here are even more testimonials from our past retreats!

It's nice to be out of my element yet with other leaders who I relate to yet are not necessarily in my network.

Spring Retreat 2023

These three amazing individuals absolutely practice what they preach. It was amazing to spend a few days with them and learn so many tools that I can take away to better live my life, better treat people around me with more loving-kindness. I’d also like to say that their commitment to all of us who attended the retreat, they are all knowledgeable in their areas of expertise. They were extremely supportive and just, it was a joy to be around them and all the other folks that were here. For all those of you out in the MTM family, I highly recommend this for you, your family, family members. It was a worthwhile experience and I’ll absolutely be back. Thank you to Jon, Will and Dr. T for giving me some new tools in my toolbox to go out and be a better me.

David

Fall Retreat 2022

Whether your issues that you’re dealing with, whether they’re seen or they’re unseen, this is a space that will help you work, and that’s regardless of your background or your experiences. Over the last little bit, I’ve been consuming the material by Theresa, Jon, and Will, rather passively. I’ve seen a lot of results, both to myself at my house and in the workspace. And I really needed to decide if it really was mindfulness, movement, and meditation, or just something else which was causing this tremendous growth. And now I can tell you, without a doubt, that the mindful-movement experience has been the missing ingredient, or the secret sauce, to my own personal journey.

Geoff

Fall Retreat 2022

This experience has exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds. I’ve worked with Jon and Will and Dr. T remotely, doing a lot of the same mindfulness-movement type stuff on a remote basis, and being here, in person, with these three experts, and the group of people participating in this retreat, has been absolutely phenomenal. The rest of attendees are all from different walks of life and they all bring their own experiences into this cohort and it’s fun to see everybody learning something, and it’s fun to see what people bring to a retreat like this and what they take out of a retreat like this. So if you get a chance to come and participate in something like this in person, I can’t recommend it enough.

Michelle

Fall Retreat 2022

It’s really easy to turn this into foo-foo and call it tree-huggers and hippie stuff, and it’s not. It’s definitely not. I did 30 years in the military, I know what tough looks like. This was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. Injuries aside, it’s all about the mind and the soul. And we can go get pills, we can go get titanium legs, whatever, but nobody’s working on the soul. These folks, they open it up. It’s a first step. Don’t come here thinking it’s all going to change overnight. It won’t. You have to deprogram, there’s a lot of issues, but if you dedicate the time and the energy, it’ll positively change your life and those you love. Jon and Will and Theresa, I can’t tell you how much this meant to me.

About the Post-Retreat Virtual Integration Program

Each week will be led by one or more of the Teachers (Jon, Theresa and/or Will).

During these four weeks, as a group, we will take a deeper dive into each of the four modalities we explored during the retreat.

Jon will cover and lead mindfulness. Dr. Theresa will cover physical health, Will will cover Energetics (this includes - breathwork, meditation, and yoga), and the fourth week will be declarations or your “what’s next.”

What will make this integration successful is each of you will already have an assigned “buddy” (an accountability partner) from the retreat with who you will follow through into the integration course.

This accountability will create a powerful support system that will help you dig deeper - especially when you don’t want to - and each of you will hold each other responsible for the required weekly practices.

Week One begins the week after the Retreat. Each of these virtual sessions is one hour and will be recorded so if you miss one you can go back and watch.

This Integration part of the retreat is NOT required although if you want to get the most out of your precious time and efforts on the retreat we HIGHLY recommend that you follow through and complete this retreat in its entirety.

FAQs

Can I bring my kids?

We ask that all participants are 18 years of age and older. Sorry, no exceptions.

What should I bring?

  • Clothes for Yoga and Movement practices should be comfortable and easy to move in.
  • Be prepared for a hike! Appropriate shoes, hat, water bottle, and anything else you might need.
  • Bring a sweater or jacket for colder nights!

I've never practiced yoga/meditation/mindfulness!

No worries! This experience is open to everyone - beginners and longtime practitioners alike. We will be working on building strong foundations for these practices. There is something everyone can benefit from, whether they’ve never practiced before or have been practicing for 20 years!

What will the food be like?

Before we arrive we will be reaching out to gather information from each one of the participants, including their dietary restrictions. We will communicate these restrictions to the on-site chef prior to our stay. Expect delicious, homemade, vegetarian nutritious meals. Meat options are available at a minimal increased cost. You can select this meat option on the checkout page when you sign up.

Will there be wifi/cell service?

While there will be wifi access, cell phone service is limited. Additionally, we encourage you to consider “digitally detoxing” while you are with us.

What happens if I need to cancel or change plans?

  1. If you need to cancel, just notify us at wellness@movement-rx.com. The cancellation shall take effect on the day we receive that email.
  2. If you cancel more than 30 days prior to the start of the Retreat, 100% of any payments you have made will be refunded.
  3. If you cancel 30 days or less prior to the start of the Retreat, there shall be no refund, unless we can fill your vacated spot with another Participant.

For more information, please see the Terms & Conditions.

Who can attend?

Anyone 18 and over.

Is this tax deductible?

Possibly. The IRS states that employees can deduct training costs if the workshops, seminars or courses allow individuals to improve and develop their job-related skills, especially if the employees require the training to remain in their roles. Similarly, the IRS allows self-employed workers to deduct some training costs, including transportation to and from course locations. You cannot deduct training expenses related to transitioning to a new career. Check with your tax professional for your specific circumstances.

I have a different question.

Great! Reach out to us at and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
