Is there a group of leaders in your organization you want to invest in, develop and retain?
Provide a Be Well to Lead Well leader development cohort that emphasizes sustained leader well-being and improves retention by 80%.This isn’t just training. It's a launchpad for purpose, fulfillment, and leadership that lasts.
Cisco faced a challenge with retaining military veterans. This is not uncommon, as may veterans enter the civilian workforce feeling underutilized, misunderstood and disconnected from their purpose. This turnover places a costly strain on company resources, time and morale. Yet veterans bring exactly what Cisco needs to thrive: resilience, adaptability and mission-driven leadership.
The Problem
The Solution
Cisco partnered with MRx to unlock the full potential of veteran leaders through a veteran-led non-traditional leadership training model.
MRx and Cisco co-created a 10 week cohort experience led by MRx's clinical experts and veteran leaders from the SEAL Teams, Navy, Marine Corps and Army. The objectives were to help participants gain the tools to re-discover purpose, lead, feel connected, improve communication, and thrive at work and at home.

The Results of this Program
In addition to a participant Net Promoter Score of 90, participants also saw significant improvements in perceived stress, emotional self-regulation, outlook, sleep quality, and physical capability. Qualitatively, participants consistently reported high engagement, camaraderie and motivation. Over 20% of participants had been promoted within 4 months of the program, and early indications show an 80% improvement in likely retention rate of cohort participants.
Here are a few of the benefits.
Experience has taught us that the best leadership development programs are engaging, are org-specific, focus on the human being, layer in mentoring and peer support, provide perspective on opportunities within the org, and offer multiple modes of applying the training content. While we have a suggested template to follow, your time, needs and budget may require flexibility.
What we won't skip are modules on Purpose, Self-Care, and Finding Community, as these are crucial to leader well-being.
We work with you to discover how to best deliver a cohort for your org. Whether it's a new training format or an enhancement of an exiting one, the best outcomes come from integrating your org's specific culture and approach into our facilitation and training modules.
We work with you to optimize logistics and integrate select leaders from your org to help deliver sub-modules as applicable. We also integrate evidence-based leader well-being self-assessments into the training. De-identified results will be reviewed with the group to reinforce the importance of self-care in leader performance and longevity.
Trainings can be delivered in half-day and full-day sessions. We work with you to identify an optimal cadence and format.
So we just delivered an engaging training that has motivated your leaders. Now what? We maintain momentum with a cadence of live virtual trainings that allow further exploration of the principles covered in the in-person sessions.
This 2nd offsite serves as a forum for participants to deliver their capstone projects in person to their cohort and org leaders. This onsite can also serve as a great way to meet partners or major clients to add real world context to the program.
The MRx team will lead a monthly post-graduation integration program. These virtual integration sessions serve as a best-practices method for reinforcing the concepts of the training program. The integration cadence will mix concept refreshers with real-time issues that cohort members are facing.
All participants receive a set of materials for the training. These include workbooks, published books from the trainers, a self-care toolkit and more.
We work with you to identify desired feedback after each module and session. That feedback is integrated with assessment scoring in our reporting to you. We're quick and adaptable, and will collaborate with you to ensure the training sessions meet any evolving needs.
