The Adaptive Athlete Course is appropriate for any Coach or Athlete. The course is about fusing fitness AND health AND wellness so that the people who are in a position to do the most about people’s health – Coaches and the Athlete – are empowered to do so. In this course, Dr. Theresa Larson, DPT and her team provide the key assessment tools and joint by joint instructions to help you a) assess physical movement dysfunctions, b) determine appropriate adaptations or modifications, and c) accelerate healing. If you’ve ever had an injured or adaptive athlete (i.e. temporary or permanent injury), or want to help keep athletes’ movement dysfunctions from becoming more serious, this course is for you.

Coaches and Trainers are First Responders in the realm of health. Think about that for a moment. As a Coach/Trainer, you see Members several times a week and are the only ones that can pre-emptively respond to cues that lead to or manifest as injuries or other impairments. Just as importantly, the functional environment of the gym is where people with injuries and impairments need to be in order to get better, faster. You’re the ones who can best impact wellness AND recovery.
Can anyone attend?
If you do not meet these requirements, you are issued a Certificate of Attendance.
